Walks are relaxing. Our cabin is only footsteps away from the national forest, a phenomenal multi trail system and a pretty fun sled spot in the winter. Welcome to Moreno Pines Chalet, our perfect getaway from the LA grind. We have worked so hard to ensure our cabin is fully furnished and incorporated with everything that our guests would need during their stay. Our cabin is a spacious 1200 square feet with 2 beds / 2 baths and offers plenty of room for a group of 6 people max and 2 vehicle max driveway (per county code). Our front porch has two comfortable, sturdy rocking chairs to sit in and enjoy the mountain air and landscape. Our inviting living room has a natural rock woodburning fireplace, a TV with Roku, entertainment console with games, and a comfy sofa that folds out into a queen bed. You'll love sitting on the sofa in the mornings drinking coffee, tea or whatever gets you moving and looking out the front windows at the trees with its snow fall in the winter or the extra green that emanates the rest of the year. The downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen, a full bath, and a full-size laundry room with a brand new high capacity washer and dryer. Upstairs, a hallway connects the two bedrooms with a spacious full bathroom in between that is also ensuite to the master bedroom. The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed, bedside lamps that have USB ports, a workspace with a desk and chair, large sliding door closet with hangers, dresser, and a smart TV with Roku. That bedroom has a view of the national forest. The second bedroom is designed for adults and kids. It has a queen bed, and the bunk is single. It also has a large sliding door closet with hangers and a dresser and a smart TV with Roku. Another perfect chill out spot after enjoying the great outdoors. It is also perfect during the summer to explore and enjoy nature walks. A seasonal creek runs through it that our kids love to play in, and we also love to sit by it, relaxing to the sounds of nature. We absolutely love and adore our cabin and the peace it provides us given the quiet location. We love hosting and sharing it with others. You have access to the whole cabin. The shed is locked and our personal storage space. I have a local host that will be helping me onsite support. Our cabin is located in the less dense, quieter part of Sugarloaf and is just a stone throw from the national forest and trails. We love how close we are to a really perfect sledding spot for kids and adults to enjoy. It's also perfect for hiking. There isn't a lot of traffic that comes through our part of the community, so we feel comfortable letting our kids play outside without having to helicopter parent them. It is nice to walk around the roads to since there is less traffic. We absolutely love our neighbors and appreciate how well they look out for us and our home. Kallans Bar and Grill, Easy's General Store and the Post Office are only .5 miles walk or drive away. The lanes in Sugarloaf aren't very wide. You can only park in the 2-vehicle max driveway. The county doesn't allow anyone to park on the side road as it blocks traffic. Slopes and other activities are a short drive away, and there are also public transit options. There is a bus stop near the post office to get you where you need to go. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate service dogs due to allergies in our family. However, we can recommend local hosts that can.
